Understanding Global Initiatives
SK Chemicals practices ESG management under the mission and vision of 'Protecting the Earth's environment and human health.' The company aims to transparently disclose ESG management goals and performance according to global guidelines such as SASB and TCFD. Additionally, we are participating in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) to disclose our efforts in carbon reduction, climate action targets, and strategies. We have also received approval for our Near-term reduction targets from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), a leading advisory body on science-based greenhouse gas reduction targets. Recognizing these efforts externally, we have been continuously listed on the DJSI Korea Index as of 2023, achieving an AA rating from MSCI, an A- from CDP, and an A+ in ESG ratings from the Korea Corporate Governance Service (KCGS), affirming our excellence in ESG management from global evaluation institutions.
