Waste Management System
SK Chemicals establishes an annual waste management goal of a 5% reduction compared to the previous year's waste generation. The company identifies and implements activities to reduce waste generation actively. Waste reduction activities are vigorously pursued in terms of reducing facility waste and contributing to resource circulation through product recycling.
Increase in Waste Recycling
SK Chemicals’ Ulsan Plant conducts Zero Waste to Landfill (ZWTL) verification to ensure an objective assessment of its waste reduction efforts. The Ulsan Plant achieved the following ZWTL certifications: Silver grade in 2022, Gold grade in 2023 with a recycling rate of 96%, and Gold grade in 2024 with a recycling rate of 97%.
