Since its inception in 1969 as SunKyong Synthetic Fiber Co., Ltd., SK Chemicals has pursued a mission to "enhance human health and protect the Earth's environment." Leading innovation and growth in the domestic eco-friendly materials and life sciences sectors, the company has been at the forefront of providing solutions. It has taken a leap towards becoming a global leader in eco-friendly materials and life sciences, with a focus on the Green Chemicals business, implementing eco-friendly material solutions, and the Life Science business, providing total healthcare solutions centered around innovative pharmaceuticals.
Domestic Operations and Global Network
Headquartered at ECOLab in Pangyo, Seongnam City, Gyeonggi Province, SK Chemicals operates the Ulsan Green Chemical Plant, Andong SK Bioscience Plant, and Cheongju Pharmaceutical Plant. With overseas sales subsidiaries in the United States, Germany, Shanghai (China), and Malaysia, as well as offices in Japan and the Guangzhou region of China, and production facilities in the Yantai region of China, the company has established a global network to enhance competitiveness.
