Human Rights Impact Assessment

SK chemicals conducts Human Rights Impact Assessments to identify potential impacts of its business activities on human rights for employees and stakeholders who may be exposed to human rights risks. To ensure independence, reliability, and expertise, the company collaborates with external institutions and uses human rights management indicators developed in alignment with global guidelines such as the ILO Core Conventions, Universal Declaration of Human Rights, EU Supply Chain Due Diligence Directive, and the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act.
Based on assessment results, SK chemicals undertakes improvement measures to prevent human rights risks and will continue expanding assessment coverage to strengthen human rights management.

Human Rights Management Indicators

SK Chemicals has developed human rights management indicators, incorporating international guidelines such as K-ESG guidelines, ILO core conventions, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, EU Supply Chain Inspection Guidelines, and German Supply Chain Inspection Law. These indicators help assess human rights impacts for each stakeholder.

Human rights management system and remedy procedures, prohibition of child and forced labor, guarantee of freedom of association and collective bargaining, humanitarian treatment, supply chain management, industrial safety and health, guarantee of environmental rights, protection of human rights for local residents, and consumer rights protection.
